Stop leaving digital traces that retailers use to inflate your prices.

What TraceBlocker does

Blocks known trackers

Stops thousands of known tracking scripts and pixels from loading, using widely used public filter lists.

Works on your device

Blocking happens in your browser. TraceBlocker doesn't see or store the pages you visit.

Premium blocks ads too

Upgrade to block ads as well as trackers.

Surveillance pricing, in plain terms

Online prices aren't always the same for everyone. Here's what's on the record as of September 2026.

Stores can watch how you shop

In January 2025, the FTC reported that shopping behavior, from mouse movements to items left in a cart, "can be tracked and used by retailers to tailor consumer pricing."

States are stepping in

New York requires businesses to tell New York shoppers when an algorithm used their personal data to set a price. Maryland, Connecticut and New Jersey have passed laws restricting prices set with personal data, taking effect between October 2026 and August 2027.

Trackers are one way data gets collected

Tracking scripts and pixels on the sites you visit record what you do and can pass it along to ad networks and data brokers. Blocking them limits what gets collected about you.

Questions

Will TraceBlocker lower the prices I see?

We can't promise that. Some stores use personal data to set prices, and trackers are one way that data gets collected. TraceBlocker blocks known trackers, which limits what gets collected about you as you browse. However, it cannot stop stores from using data they already have tied to your existing store accounts, order history, or loyalty cards. Because retail pricing algorithms change constantly and vary by user, we cannot guarantee a specific discount. TraceBlocker provides the privacy baseline needed to prevent targeted surging, but your final checkout price ultimately depends on the retailer.

What's the difference between Free and Premium?

Free blocks known trackers. Premium also blocks ads, for $29 a year. Every new install gets Premium free for 14 days, no card needed. When the trial ends, ad blocking turns off unless you upgrade, and tracker blocking keeps working.

Which browsers and devices does it work on?

Chrome and Microsoft Edge on desktop computers. It doesn't work on phones yet.

What data do you collect?

The extension blocks trackers on your device and never sends us your browsing. If you give us your email address to extend your trial, we use it to send you TraceBlocker news and offers, and you can unsubscribe anytime. If you upgrade to Premium, our payment processor, Stripe, handles your card details, and we only receive your email address and subscription status. This website counts visits with a random ID, and it has no ad trackers or third-party scripts. We don't sell your data. Read the privacy policy.

How do I cancel Premium?

Online, from your account, anytime. No phone call or email needed.
